Titer-Tops are made of highly compliant, medical grade polyethylene film with and FDA-approved acrylic adhesive. This specialized material demonstrates excellent adhesion to all plastic microplates, sealing each and every well on the plate. Titer-Tops prevent sample evaporation, well-to-well contamination, external contamination and sample spillage. Each sheet is 6 x 3.25 inches and has a scored paper liner protecting the adhesive. The center section of the liner is peeled off, leaving two hand grip extension tabs, which allow easy application and alignment of the seal on top of the plate. The matte-finished backing can be marked with any writing instrument. Titer-Tops have been sterilized by gamma irradiation, are chemically resistant andthermally stable. Durable and thick (4.4mil), yet still easily pierced by a micropipette tip to provide access to sample wells. The acrylic adhesive is waterproof, solvent resistant, non-cytotoxic, stays solidly in place when exposed to 100% humidit y and temperatures from -40°C to +100°C.
