The Azenta Life Sciences Cube Rack Reader with Cryoprotection™ and DP5 Standard is a compact, camera-based reader designed for rapid decoding of 2D DataMatrix-coded sample tubes in SBS-format racks and cryoboxes. The system provides read and decode times of approximately 1–2 seconds and supports a wide range of rack formats for sample tracking, inventory management, and automated laboratory workflows.

This configuration includes Azenta Cryoprotection, a passive proprietary coating that helps prevent condensation from forming on the reader window when scanning cold racks removed from cryogenic storage. The technology does not use heat or blown air, reducing the risk of warming or thawing samples during scanning.
