Incubator-Compatible Lab Rotator
Labnet's Revolver lab sample rotator accepts a variety of tube sizes and mixes them horizontally, vertically, or any position in between. Changing the mixing angle is easy simply turn the rotisserie. No tools are required.
Interchangeable rotisseries accept tubes from 1.5 ml to 50 ml. Each rotisserie is split into two halves. Each of the halves can be exchanged to mix more than one tube type at the same time. Each rotisserie half can be rotated independently from a center point on the shaft. Placing the halves in line with the shaft produces an end over end tumbling motion, similar to that used to mix blood tubes. Rotating the rotisserie at a right angle to the shaft produces a gentle mixing motion, ideal for delicate samples. Any position in between these two extremes may be selected to achieve the desired mixing action. Rotation speed is fixed at 18rpm (20rpm for 230V models).
Revolver Lab Rotator Operation
The Revolver lab rotator can be used in ambient temperatures from +4C to 55C, making it ideal for a variety of laboratory settings such as Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, clinical and Histochemistry. Small enough to fit on a crowded bench, the rotator is easily moved where it is needed - the bench, cold room, incubator or biological hood. With a molded housing and unique rotisserie design, the Revolver is easy to clean and decontaminate. A 36 x 1.5/2.0 ml rotisserie is supplied with the Revolver. Other configurations are available separately.
The Vari Mix Platform Rocker is ideal for developing cell cultures, viral suspensions and immunoassays, and for staining and destaining gels. It provides steep-angle rocking, with a platform angle that is adjustable from 1 to 48 from the horizontal. The smooth wave rocking motion can be adjusted variably from a gentle 5rpm to a more vigarous 30rpm for a more thorough mixing. The precision timer allows up to two hours of automatic operation at 60Hz, or three hours of automatic operation at 50Hz. Continuous mode setting allows longer operation.
White nonskid platform measures 12.6W x 10.6"D (26.9 x 32cm) and is removable for autoclaving. Optional universal holder accomodates test tube racks, flasks, and other unusually shaped objects. Optional double-tier platform doubles mixing capacity. Wide ambient operating range of 39.2F to 104F (4C to 104C) and 20% to 80% relative humidity (noncondensing) makes the Vari Mix suitable for many different laboratory applications. The ProBlot Rocker 35 is an adjustable-tilt rocker that is ideal for staining gels and membranes. The variable tilt angle adjusts 20, making the ProBlot Rocker 35 suitable for a wide variety of applications. The speed of the rocking motion is adjustable from 4 to 160 tilts/minute. The timer can be set to allow continuous operation, or to run from 0 to 120 minutes. Single or double platform models are available. Stainless steel platforms measure 14W x 11D (36 x 28cm). Double platform clearance is 3.5 (9cm). Safe for cold rooms or incubators, with an ambient operating range of 39.2F to 149F (4C to 65C). Maximum load is 15.5 lb. (7kg). Nutating Mixer Motion
Like the GyroTwister, the GyroMini Nutating Mixer combines the motions of an orbital shaker and a rocker to produce a three dimensional action. The result is a thorough yet gentle mixing using the GyroMini Nutating Mixer without foaming. Both the speed and tilt angle of this small shaker are fixed to provide the optimal level of agitation for mixing samples in small containers. The GyroMini is supplied with a dimpled mat for holding tubes firmly in place. For temperature sensitive samples, the GyroMiniNutating Mixer can be used in a cold room.
High Capacity Laboratory Rockers
The Labnet Economy Rockers, ProBlot 25 and 25XL high capacity bench rockers, are basic bench rocking platforms that have been designed for a long life and trouble-free service.
Bench rocker speed is adjustable to provide the gentle motion required for staining fragile gels as well as the more vigorous action necessary for washing blots. The rocking movement is fixed at 7. The platform surfaces are covered with nonslip rubber pads to prevent objects from moving during operation. Elastic tie downs are available to secure in place bags, boxes, tubes and other containers. The platform assemblies pivot on permanently lubricated ball bearings for quiet, maintenance-free operation. The ProBlot 25 platform measures 28.9 x 20.3 cm, while the ProBlot 25XL platform is slightly larger at 30 x 30 cm. For increasing the work area without sacrificing valuable bench space, a second platform can be stacked on the first. The ProBlot 25 and 25XL Rockers can be used safely in temperature controlled environments up to 85C. Their low profile and compact size make them perfect for use in small incubators
The Multifunction Rotator can be used for rotation, reciprocation or vortexing applications. It can be set for either timed (one minute to 24 hours) or continuous operation. ModelPTR-30 has a standard capacity of 22, 2.0mL microtubes (1kg maximum load) and measures 12W x 5D x 7H.PTR-60 holds 48, 2.0mL microtubes (1.5kg maximum load) and measures 16-1/2W x 9D x 9H. Alternative platforms are available for each model to accommodate larger tubes.

Wide range of motion
The Mini LabRoller Rotator is uniquely designed so that the level of agitation can be adjusted from gentle rolling, through two levels of tumbling, to forceful end over end mixing simply by changing the rotisserie position.
When a rotisserie is inserted horizontally (tubes held vertically), an end over end motion is produced. The unit can then be used for simple rotating, or rested on either end to create a tumbling motion. Placing the Mini LabRoller on the end with the power switch will create a more vigorous tumbling motion than resting it on the opposite end. A rocking motion is achieved by simply inserting pegs to limit the movement of the rotisserie to 20, 45, or 60. Any of the three available rotisseries can be used as a rocking platform.
Using the supplied rod, the rotisseries may be mounted vertically (tubes held horizontally). In all configurations, the speed of the rotisserie is fixed at 24rpm. Interchangeable rotisseries hold numerous tube sizes.
The Mini LabRoller Rotator is supplied with a rotisserie for 36 x 1.5 or 2.0 ml tubes. Two additional rotisseries are available separately. The first accommodates ten conical 15 ml or other tubes with a 15-17 mm diameter as well as twelve tubes with a 12-13 mm diameter. The second holds six 50 ml conical tubes. Microplates can be used on any of the three rotisseries. Wide range of applications.
With three rotisserie configurations, dual rotisserie positions and the ability to change the position of the unit to produce a wide range of motions, the Mini LabRoller Rotator has applications in a variety of areas. Its compact size allows it to be used in combination with Labnet's Mini Incubator, for a compact temperature controlled mixing solution. In addition to its small size, the Mini LabRoller is quiet and economical, making it an excellent value.
Benchmark’s QuadRocker features a unique, tiered attachment system that accepts up to four platforms. Unlike traditional single platform rockers, the QuadRocker includes a base level as well as three additional stacking platforms, providing a total work-surface of over 750 sq. in.
For most gel blotting, washing and staining applications, the rocker can be installed with all four rocking platforms. For applications requiring larger vessels, the quantity and height of the platforms can easily be customized to provide a maximum clearance of up to 8¼ in (21cm). The QuadRocker’s versatility is further enhanced by digital speed and timer control, as well as user-adjustable tilt angle.
