Whatman� Pre-Pleated Circles

Using these prepleated circles will help save the time required to quadrant-fold circles in repetitive or multiple analysis. These filters also offer decreased overall filtration time because extra surface area is exposed; the normal slowdown of filtration speed due to the loading of particulate is postponed. The total loading capacity is increased as more filter area is available, and flow rate is maintained due to the reduction in filter paper contact with the funnel side.

Grade 2V (8�m) is widely used for general-purpose filtration. It has excellent particle retention and a good filtration speed and loading capacity.

Grade 113V (30�m) is a very thick and strong filter with creped surface for extremely high loading capacity, particularly in folded form, and has the fastest flow rate of any qualitative grade.

Grade 114V (25�m) is another strong filter with very fast flow rate, for the same applications as Grade 113V, but with a smooth surface. Either are ideal for coarse particles and gelatinous precipitates.
