The fully motorized BioPette® E Electronic Pipette features a state-of-the-art microprocessor that controls the high-precision stepping motor, leading to exceptional accuracy, precision and much lower pipetting forces. Accuracy is further enhanced by an optical coupler that monitors the position of the plunger, ensuring that the plunger’s movement is exactly the same every time. The BioPette® E’s lightweight, well-balanced design fits comfortably in the hand. A small, natural movement of the index finger on the plunger button sets the motorized pipette in motion. Hand stress is virtually eliminated. Tip ejection is equally easy. The large LCD clearly displays all active functions and battery status, and it’s angled toward the user, so it’s easy to read.
The BioPette® E’s six operational modes greatly expand the unit’s capabilities. Modes included are: auto, multiple dispensing, mix, sequential dispensing, aspirating different volumes, and system set which can add and remove blow out steps. Appropriate operating parameters are easily selected using the large screen and simple interface. Up to nine different sets of operating parameters can be stored in internal memory for future recall. Operating software includes a self-diagnosis program that constantly monitors the accuracy of pipetting volume, battery status and autocalibration function.
The BioPette® E is available in single- and eight-channel models. Both have adjustable tip ejectors and shafts designed to accept a variety of manufacturers’ tips. The lower portion is easily removed for autoclaving. The BioPette® E is powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery, which delivers up to 2, 000 pipetting cycles on a single charge. Each BioPette® E includes a battery, a convenient shelf clip, and a 120V charging adapter for charging the battery in the unit. Extra batteries and an external charger are available to ensure uninterrupted operation.
